Oleg Danilyants was born in 1964 in Baku-city, Azerbaijan in the former Soviet Union. He comes from a family with deep artistic roots. His mother and grandfather were both artists and that influenced him to choose the same artistic walk of life.

Oleg studied art and design from 1982 at the Ostrovsky State University of Fine Art in Tashkent, and graduated in 1989 as an artist and interior designer. After University, he was employed by Joint Soviet and Italian Company as a production designer. He worked there for three years while continuing to paint from his home studio. In 1989, Oleg participated in a group art exhibition at Exhibit Hall of Cultural-Informative Center of Intourist and was recognized by colleagues and connoisseurs.

In 1992, Oleg moved to Moscow, where he continued his creative career as a fine art painter. He collaborated with leading galleries of the Post-Soviet art market. In 1998, he left Russia and landed in Ontario, where he lives at the present time.

The manner of his painting is very different. Whether he paints still life or representational composition, it always has its own world and seems quaint and distorted. Every piece is a little story. His works are talking for themselves. Just listen closely.
