Giorgio Ferrari was born in Milan, Italy in 1936 and lives in Levizzano R. (Modena Province) where he also has his studio. His etchings have achieved worldwide distribution. Recurring themes include indomitable optimism concerning man's enjoyment of nature (considered still salvageable) notwithstanding the undeniable deterioration of the environment, and the choice of life-style that may mean abandoning the chaos of the metropolis for the "human" dimensions of the smaller towns. Through his work, Ferrari makes optimistic choices and expresses a heartfelt wish as well.
